Burns Industrial Equipment is proud to partner with The Education Partnership and their efforts to help provide much-needed school supplies, backpacks and masks to low-income schools across southwestern PA.
This summer, Burns donated a forklift to The Education Partnership and they held a contest within the community to name the forklift. The winning name was C.A.S.E.Y., standing for Caring About Students Education Yearly. According to Josh Whiteside, Executive Director of The Education Partnership, the forklift is used every day to receive product donations, move products from their warehouse to their shopping center (The Teacher Resource Center), and coordinate large bulk donations directly to area schools.
Since the donation, CASEY has been an instrumental part of receiving nearly $2M in supplies and distributing more than $2.7M in total product. “To say that CASEY has become an impactful member of the TEP team would be an understatement,” said Mr. Whiteside.
